NELSON, KETH H.

Keth H. Nelson died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, at his home in Strong City. He was 47.
Mr. Nelson had a lawn-mowing service and was the co-owner of the Roadhouse Bar and Grill in
Strong City. Previously, he was a heavy equipment operator in a rock quarry. When he moved to Chase County, he drove a school bus, was a para-professional at Cottonwood Falls Grade School and coached baseball. He served in the U.S. Army.

The son of Kenneth H. and Barbara Thomas Nelson, he was born Feb. 3, 1960, at Eureka, Calif. He married Cheryl Keil on Oct. 17, 1981, at Russell. They were divorced. He married Brenda Zimmerman on July 3, 1993, at Strong City. She survives.

Mr. Nelson was baptized in the Cedar Point church.

He is also survived by four sons, Austin Nelson and Dexter Nelson, both of the home, Ben Nelson of Strong City and Clint Nelson of Garden City; one daughter, Holly Nelson of Great Bend; his mother of Strong City; his father of Moline, Ill.; and a brother, Kenny Nelson of Wichita. A sister, Debra Nelson, died earlier.

The service to celebrate his life will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls. The Rev. Larry Timm will conduct the service. Mr. Nelson will be cremated after the service. The family inurnment service will be at a later date in Prairie Grove Cemetery near Cottonwood Falls. The family will meet friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Friends also may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday.

Memorial contributions to a fund for the education of his children may be sent in care of the funeral home, 201 Cherry, Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
