In Justice's Court
On last Friday in Judge Smith's court the case of John Harper vs. W. T. Miles, Ed Miles and Ben Trober for peaceable entry and forcible detainer of real estate was thrown out of court for want of jurisdiction.
Satruday the case of John Frame vs. E. H. Boyer was called. the action was for damages for the destruction of some feed by the defendent's sheep. The plaintiff received judgement for $4 and costs. The defendent promptly settled the judgement.
The case of the State of Kansas vs. Geo. W. Wiley for embezzlement of county funds while county treasurer, was called Tuesday. The defense made a motion for continuance which was overruled. Witnesses were examined on behalf of the state, at the conclusion of which the defendant waived arguement and was bound over to district court in the sum of $15,000.
