  Welcome to Kansas Trails' Nemaha County. Our goal is helping you find your ancestors by placing data online for the Free use of all researchers.  We are proud to expand Kansas with Nemaha County, providing our "experience" gained from years of researching our ancestors and website hosting.  We want to hear about you and the history of your ancestors from this beautiful State. We also need contributions of your data, history and stories to make this a great place to research.  Everything is helpful: Obituaries, Biographies, Photos and County History, to name a few.
  As data becomes available, we will put it online.  Information for the County of Nemaha will be posted as fast as we can find, type and/or receive it.  We welcome your feedback and comments, and of course, your data contributions.

Nemaha County was organized in 1873. It was named for the Nemaha River, in the northern part of the county; besides the cities listed at the left, the communities of Baileyville, Kelly, Ontario, Berwick, St. Benedict and Woodlawn lie within the boundaries of Nemaha County.
