Moye, 65, of south of Lenora, died at 5:30 Saturday morning, June 2, in the Graham County Hospital, as a result of injuries received in an accident Friday afternoon at the Hill City Sale Barn. According to reports Duey had backed a truck load of cattle to the chute at the sale barn and stepped out of the cab to see about the alignment of the truck, according to E. O. Johnson, of near Hill City, a witness to the accident. Another truckload of cattle, in a truck driven by Riley Best, a nephew of Mr. Moye, backed into him, pinning him between the two vehicles. A doctor and an ambulance were called and Duey was rushed to the hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 10:30 from the Lenora Congregational Church with Rev. John R. Becker in charge. Lenora Lodge No. 181 A.F. & A.M. held graveside service. Arrangements were by Cutting Funeral Home. He was associated with his father in the oil business during his early manhood years. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1918 and served in England during World War I. He was united in marriage on April 5, 1919 to Miss Rosetta Born to which union one daughter Nelda was born. After his marriage the newlyweds moved to a farm home in Graham County where they have farmed and resided up to the present time. Duey was a man who loved to be a good neighbor.
