of A. J. and Rebecca Craig, passed peacefully away this morning at 3 o'clock; having been ill with consumption
for some weeks. Mrs. Knapp was born in Marion county, Iowa, October 8, 1871 and was married to Judson Knapp April
30, 1890. The dear, gentle, patient woman has, indeed, left sorrowing friends. Her young spirit winged its early
flight to Heaven when the morning stars were singing together in glorious unison. She never murmured nor complained,
but calmly waited for the new breath of life. Though she perished like a flower from the arms of a devoted husband
and loving parents, yet it is but a passing cloud over the present grief; for we know there is a voice from the
tomb, sweeter than the song of the living, that softens away into pensive meditation by the remembrances of the
dead, to which we turn even from the charms of life. The funeral services will be conducted at the M. E. church
to-morrow, at 10 o'clock a. m., Rev. C. V. Penn officiating. (Oct. 1893, submitted anonmously) Died at Osborne, Kan., March 29, of congestion of the lungs, Anson D.
