First Third Termer
Hedrick, J. C., Capt.
The much - blasphemed "third term" for politicians cropped out early in Hutchinson's history. When,
on January 9, 1881, Capt. J. C. Hedrick took his third term of office as sheriff, he was the first Kansas peace
officer so honored.
