Wichita, Kan., Aug. 5, - The Wichita Reunion association has decided to hold its first annual reunion in one of the city parks in September. The exact date is to be fixed by the executive board, when it learns what time the best speakers can be secured. The management and the old soldiers of Segwick County expect to make this reunion a big annual affair in this portion of the state. (The Kansas Semi-Weekly Capital, August 9, 1898)

Organizations formed at Cheney and Valley Center

Wichita, Kas., March 18 - Several motor car loads of Progressives went to Cheney last night. They were met by a large crowd and an organization was perfected. Walter Bennett was chosen committeeman. This is the second Progressive meeting in the county within a week, the other being held at Valley Center, Saturday night. Much enthusiasm has been shown.
