Mrs. Alice Anderson, 86, 512 Burr, died Thursday at a Topeka Hospital.
She was born Feb. 12, 1879. She spent most of her life in Topeka.
Survivors include two sons, Clyde Herbold at home, and Arthur Herbold, Kansas City, Mo.

ATKINSON, LYNN MORGAN
Services are pending for Lynn Morgan Atkinson, 50, 1209 Locust, who died Thursday in a Topeka hospital.
He was born Aug. 3, 1914 in Topeka, and was a lifelong resident here. He was an employe of the Kuehne Brothers Van and Storage Company.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include three brothers, James D. Atkinson, 2407 Jefferson, Richard C. Atkinson, 1209 Locust, and Frederick R. Atkinson, 611 N. Topeka, and two sisters, Mrs. Eva Fanning, 132 Harrison and Mrs. Grace F. Wright, 1304 Indiana.

BATZ, GEORGE
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary for George C. Batz, 84, who died Friday at his home, 223 Kendall. Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery.
He was born Aug.13, 1880 in Russia and lived in Topeka since 1900. He was a foreman in the blacksmith shop of the Santa Fe Railway. He retired in 1950 after 55 years of service.

Mildred Bedell Dies; Services On Wednesday.
Mrs. Mildred Bedell, 49, 314 W. 7th, died Sunday in a Topeka hospital after a long illness.
She was born Sept. 20, 1915 at Clay Center. She had lived in Topeka most of her life. Mrs. Bedell had been employed by Capitol Federal Savings and Loan Assn., since 1955.
Mrs. Bedell wa a member of the First Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Bedell, 516 N. Lime; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mayme Alexander, Cheyenne, Wyo.; a brother, Daniel Koger, Lawrence.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary for Mrs. Grace Bender, 83, Des Moines, Wash., a former Topekan, who died Wednesday at a Burien, Wash., hospital after a long illness. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 7, 1881 at Hiawatha and spent most of her life in Topeka. She moved from Topeka to Washington in 1961. She was a member of First Congregational Church in Topeka and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Her husband, Col. Louise Bender died April 2, 1961.

Frank Brown, 63, Valley Falls, Dies.
Valley Falls.--Frank Alfred Brown, 63, Route 3, Valley Falls, died Sunday at the VA Hospital at Wadsworth, where he had been a patient he past four months.
He was born Aug. 29, 1901 at Winchester. He was employed for several years at the Long Bell Lumber Co., Topeka. He lived in Oskaloosa before moving to Winchester.
Mr. Brown was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Brown, of the home; five sons, Frankie Thomas Brown, Valley Falls, and Deane, Roger, Richard and Billy, and two daughters, Judy and Judith, all of the home; two grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Bessie Stafford, Easton, Mrs. Goldie Stevens, Kansas City, Kan., Mrs. Cora Wilson, and Mrs. Bertha Jones, both of Winchester; and three brothers, Thomas Brown, Kansas City, Kan., William Brown, Denison, and Fred Brown, Olivet.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Valley Falls Christian Church with burial in the Wise Cemetery, Winchester.

Burlingame.--Services for Charlie Buchanan, 81, Burlingame, will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Burlingame Federated Church with burial in the cemetery here.
Mr. Buchanan, a Burlingame resident most of his life, died Saturday in an Emporia hospital.
A retired farmer, Mr. Buchanan was born Aug. 13, 1883 near Auburn.
Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Lula Blythe, Eskridge, Mrs. Nelle Bush, Emporia, Mrs. Lois Gibson, Wichita, and Mrs. Ella Davis, Admire.

Minnie Carnett Dies at Age 87.
Mrs. Minnie Carnett, 87, 1135 College, died Saturday night in a local hospital after a long illness.
She was born Sept. 23, 1877 at Eldon, Mo., and
was a Topeka resident since 1931. She entered the Methodist Home in November 1960.
Mrs. Carnett was a member of Trinity Methodist Church.
Her husband, who died June 8, 1939, was a Methodist minister, serving his last pastorate at Liberal, Mo.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Edith Coffman, 505 Davies, Mrs. Ethyl Haller, 2308 Gabler, and Mrs. Theodocia Irene AUTRY, Monett, Mo., and five grandchildren.

Oskaloosa.--Paul E. Cashatt, of the Oskaloosa community, died Monday morning in a Winchester hospital. He was 78.
He was born June 14, 1886 near Ozwakie and had been a Jefferson County resident most of his life. He was a long time member of the Oskaloosa Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bessie Cashatt, of the home; two sons, Ernest Cashatt, Ozawkie, and Don Cashatt, Omaha, Neb.; and a daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Barnes, Kansas City, Mo.
Because of the remodeling of the Methodist Church, services will be in the Oskaloosa Presbyterian Church at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

James Clark Is Dead at 78.
James Eddie Clark, 78, 1231 Medford, died Sunday morning in a local hospital following a long illness.
He was born Nov. 11, 1888 at Keats, Kan. He had lived in Topeka two years, moving here from Manhattan. He was a retired farmer.
Mr. Clark was a member of the Christian Church, Greenleaf, Kan.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma CLARK, of the home; two sons, Robert J. Clark, Lakewood, Calif., and Aaron W. Clark, Palmdale, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Frank R. Cnow, Manhattan, Mrs. E.W. Holden, 1937 Meadow Lane, Mrs. E.C. Edwards, Palmdale, Calif., and Mrs. Leon Ellis, 1924 Michigan.

Mrs. Charlotte E. CUMMINGS, 80, 4712 W. 6th, died Tuesday at the Presbyterain Manor after a long illness.
She was born March 5, 1885 at Frankfort in Marshall County and had lived in Topeka since 1952. She was a member of Westerminster Presbyterian Church.
Her husband, Hiram E. Cummings, died March 13, 1965.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Jones, Rushville, Ind., and Mrs. Juanita Schoope, Albany, N.Y.; two sons, Edwind D. Cummings, 2100 College, and Carlysle Cummings, 1241 Boswell; a brother, Starr J. Murphy, 1135 College; 10 grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Osage Citian Dies after Brief Illness.
Osage City.--Henry J. Davenport, 67, Osage City, died Thursday at an Emporia hospital after a short illness.
He was born Aug. 6, 1897 at Blackwell, Okla., and spent most of his life in the Osage City community. He was a retired farmer.
He formerly was in the farm implement business and in the real estate business, both of Osage City. He was a member of Methodist Church and Knights of Pythias, both at Osage City, and the Jersey Creek Grange.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gladys Davenport, at home; two sons, Harvey Davenport and Bert Davenport, both of Osage City; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Munsch, Havana, Ill., Mrs. George Bouteller and Mrs. William Weisiger, both of Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Fred Metz, Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers, Sheldon Davenport, and Ivan Davenport, both of Oklahoma City, 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

McLouth.--Mrs. Margaret F. Davison, McLouth, died Sunday in a Winchester hospital. She was 85.
She was born July 18, 1880 at Leavenworth, and had lived here since she was three.
Her husband, Edgar B. Davison Sr., died in August 1945.
Mrs. Davison was a member of the Methodist Church here.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Genevive Wendorff, Tonganoxie, Verna Davison, Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Gertrude Swan, Great Bend, Kan., Mrs. Helen Klinksiek, Overland Park, Mrs. Audrey Gallagher, McLean, Va., and Mrs. Maudie Flaherty, Jasonville, Ind.; four sons, Robert L. Davison, McLouth, Ernest D. Davison and Edgar B. Davison, Jr., both of Kansas City, Kan., and Maurice Davison, DeSoto; 17 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Eugene L. Didier, Jr. 727 Lawrence, was dead on arrival Monday at a local hospital.
Dr. Robert Braunsdorf, assistant district coroner, said death came from natural causes.
He was born July 5, 1906 at Osage City, and had lived in Topeka since 1923. He had been a machinist for the Santa Fe Railway.
Mr. Didier was a member of the East Topeka Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Daisy Didier, of the home, two sons, D. D. Didier, 3821 W. 12th, and H. G. Didier, Ottawa, a sister, Mrs. R. B. Lawless, Osage City, eight grandchildren. She was born Jan. 21, 1889 at Pomona and lived at Pomona until 1942. She taught in the elementary school at Pomona. She moved to Topeka from Alma in 1953. She was a member of Methodist Church at Pomona.
She was married to Raymond Dyer in 1911. He preceded her in death.

Holton.--Mrs. Anna Christina Eberwein, 83, Holton, died Tuesday in a nursing home here.
She was born May 13, 1881 in Germany and had lived in the Holton community since 1915. She was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Holton.
Survivors include a stepson, Otto Eberwein, San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Amelia Smith, Scranton, Pa.

David John Eckert, Sr., 66, 1901 Fairlawn Road, died Monday at a Topeka hospital after a short illness.
He was born Jan. 11, 1899 at Mission Center, Kan. He was a carpenter and home repairman. He was a member of Capitol Post No. 1, of the American Legion and the YMCA Chess Club.
Survivors include two sons, David J. Eckert, Jr., 1922 Fairlawn Road, and Frank D. Eckert, Abilene; a daughter, Mrs. John F. Christner, Abilene; a sister, Mrs. Velora Breitweiser, at home; and a brother, Ted Eckert Sr., Route 7.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Georgia E. Edsall, at home; two sons, Jay G. Edsall, at home, and Edward Joe Edsall, 433 Topeka; and a sister, Mrs. Virginia Weseman, Harlingen, Tex.

City Resident Jessie Ellis Is Dead at 71.
Mrs. Jessie May Ellis, 71, 1328 Eugene, died Thursday at a Topeka hospital.
She was born Dec. 16, 1893 at DuQuoin, Ill., and spent the past 25 years in the Perry, Meriden and Topeka communities. She was a member of North Topeka Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Ira Ellis, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Judy Purdie, 1015 Fillmore; a son, Eugene Gregory, Honolulu, H.I.; a stepson, R. Virgil Ellis, 1902 Sims; a sister, Mrs. Faye Kiel, Dubois, Ill., six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. Ellis will lie in state after 1 p.m. today at Davidson-Eslinger-Duff Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hattie L. Fisher, 90, Cabondale, died Sunday in a Topeka Hospital.
She was born Oct. 23, 1874 at Terre Haute, Ind. She moved to Kansas with her parents when she was five, settling in the Prairie Center community, north of Burlingame.
She was a member of the Carbondale Christian Church.
Her husband, A. M. Fisher, died April 13, 1957. A son, Vernon, died March 21, 1956.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Roy Finlay, Carbondale, four sons, Floyd and Perry Fisher both of Wakarusa, Lee Fisher, Spokane, Wash., and Paul Fisher, Coos Bay, Ore.; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Jot S. Givens, 94, Grantville, died Friday at a Topeka nursing home after a long illness.
He was born May 3, 1870 in Montgomery County, Va., and lived in the Grantville community 92 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Methodist Church at Grantville.
He wife, Cassie, died March 22, 1959.
Survivors include a son, Paul Givens, 1741 Moundview Drive; and a brother, Frank F. Givens, Grantville.

She was born Sept. 1, 1886 at DeKalb, Mo., and had lived in Jefferson County 50 years. She had lived at Valley Falls since 1935.
She was a member of the First Christian Church,
the VFW Auxiliary, The Get-to-Gether Club and Royal Neighbors, all at Valley Falls.
Her husband, Boyd Gragg, died in 1945.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Dora OberheimM, 222 E. 9th in Topeka, Mrs. Bernice Hatfield, 400 E. 10th in Topeka, and Mrs. Betty Lou Ramsey, Seneca; three sons, Orville Gragg, Valley Falls, Kenneth Gragg, National City, Calif., and Bennie Gragg, 1043 Mulvane in Topeka; three sisters, Mrs. Olvie Coombs, Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Bertha Haskins, Manhattan, and Mrs. Goldie Minor, 1165 MacVicar in Topeka; two brothers, Ottoe Wite, Coffey, Mo., and Fred White. John M. Heffern, 93, 1430 E. 23rd, died Sunday in a Topeka hospital.
Born Sept. 5, 1871, in Woodson County, Mr. Heffern
lived most of his life there before moving to Topeka in 1956. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include two sons, Patrick T. Heffern, 1430 E. 23rd, and Hubert H. Heffern, Oakland, Calif.; eight grandchildren
and 26 great-grandchildren.

KIMMEL, EUNICE
KC Lawyer Eunice Kimmel Is Dead
at 56.
McLouth.--Miss Eunice Kimmel, 56, Kansas City, formerly of McLouth, died of cancer Sunday in a McLouth nursing home.
She was born June 16, 1908 in McLouth. She lived in Topeka from 1917 to 1933, where she attended Washburn University, graduating in 1930.
She attended law school at George Washington University, Washington, D.C., and Kansas City University. She was admitted to the bar in Missouri March 22, 1941.
Miss Kimmel headed her own law firm in Kansas City. She discontinued her office work before entering the nursing home in October 1964, and closed her office, Jan. 1, 1965.
She was a member of the Potwin Presbyterian Church, Topeka, and was past president of the Zonta Club in Kansas City. She was a member of the American Bar Assn.
Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis H. Kimmel, McLouth; four brothers, William Kimmel, Colorado Springs, Colo., Garland Kimmel, Okmulgee, Okla., Henry Kimmel, Bowlegs, Okla., and Lewis Kimmel, Fox, Okla. A sister, Miss Doris Kimmel, died in December 1958.

Inze Lacy Dies at 82; Rites to be Sunday.
Oskaloosa - Mrs. Inze Lacy, 82, McLouth, formerly of Oskaloosa, died Friday at a McLouth nursing home.
She was born Jan. 14, 1883 at Nortonville and spent most of her life at Oskaloosa before moving to McLouth two years ago. She was a member of Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star both at Oskaloosa.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Kimmel, McLouth, a sister, Mrs. Eva Gaskill, Lawrence, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Perry - Henry Palestine Leslie, 77, died Friday at his home near here.
He was born Oct. 18, 1887 at Lecompton and had lived in the Perry community since 1947. He was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nettie Leslie of the home, two daughters, Mrs. Helen Collier, Junction City and Mrs. Stanley Norman, Lawrence, three sons, Harold V. Leslie, Baltimore, Md., Bill Leslie, Lecompton, and Homer Leslie, Perry; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Overlander, Lincoln, Neb. and nine grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Parker Mortuary for James K. Lowman, 34, who was dead on arrival at a Topeka hospital Wednesday after becoming ill at his home, 3925 Kimball Road. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Dr. Robert L. Braunsdorf acting coroner reported Thursday an autospy showed Mr. Lowman died of a heart attack.
Mr. Lowman was born Feb. 16, 1931 in Topeka. He lived at Los Angeles, Calif., where he was a clerk in a dry goods store, before he returned to Topeka.

Mrs. Nellie C. Lungstrom, 78, 1556 W. 24th, died Wednesday at a Topeka hospital after a long illness.
She was born August 13, 1886, at Moline, Ill., and spent most of her life in Topeka.
Her husband, Arthur L. Lungstrum, died August 22, 1953.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lois Hedrick, at home, and Mrs. Grace Coleman, Valley Falls; two sons, Harry L. Lunstrum, Glen Rock, N.J., and Albert A. Lungstrum, San Pablo, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Vivian C. Malmstrom, 37, 1516 Topeka, died Monday in a Topeka hospital following a short illness.
She was born June 17, 1927 at Barnard, Kan., and has been a Topeka resident since 1953.
Mrs. Malmstrom was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. D. C. Malmstrom, Debra Malmstrom, and two sons, Steven and Lance, all of the home; her mother, Mrs. George Keeler, Barnard; two sisters, Mrs. Maurice DeNio, College Park, Ga., and Mrs. Harold Eckelman, Westfall, Kan.; two brothers, Bill Keeler, Washington, D.C. and Dr. George Keeler, Salina.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Wall-Diffenderfer
Chapel with graveside services at 3 p.m. Thursday in Roselawn Cemetery, Salina.

Holton.--Verne McDaniel, 68, Wetmore, died Wednesday at a hospital here. He had suffered a heart attack earlier this week.
He was born July 4, 1896 in Indiana and moved to Wetmore in 1900 and spent the rest of his life in the Wetmore community. He was a member of the Methodist Church at Wetmore. He was an auto and agriculture machinist.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruth McDaniel, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Nell Hawley, Wetmore; three sons, Walter McDaniel, 1507 Eugene in Topeka, Leonard McDaniel, Turner, and Raymond McDaniel, Atchison; and nine grandchildren.

Mrs. Isabelle McFarland, 67, 211 Orchard, died Friday in a Topeka hospital.
She was born Feb. 14, 1898 in the Oakland community in Topeka and spent all her life in Topeka.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Alice L. Hawkins, 307 Orchard, and Mrs. Verda I. Sturm, Route 2; two sons, James F. McFarland, Fairfax, Va., and Raymond, McFarland, Pomona; a sister, Mrs. Gerrilda Roderick, 836 Forest; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He died Saturday in a Topeka Hospital.
He was born March 4, 1893, at New Lancaster, Kan., and had been a Topeka resident most of his life. He had been employed by Alexander Brothers Baking Co.
Mr. Montgomery was a member of the Lowman Memorial Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Cecil C. Montgomery, Blythe, Calif., a daughter, Mrs. Ruth L. Young, 1245 Kellam; two grandchildren, three brothers, Mel G. Montgomery, Lincoln, Neb., Louis S. Jack Leroy Norman, 69, 1021 Tyler, died Thursday at a Topeka hospital after a long illness.
He was born Oct. 16, 1895, at Detroit, Mich., and moved to Topeka in 1952 from Omaha, Neb. He was a member of Unity Center.
His wife, Mrs. Marguerite Norman at home, survives.

Ralph LeRoy Philamalee, 60, was dead on arrival at a Topeka hospital Wednesday after suffering a heart attack at his home, 412 Polk.
He was born June 14, 1904, at Stillwater, Okla., and had lived in Topeka since 1920. He was employed by Kansas Power and Light 34 years before he retired.
He was a member of First Christian Church at Atchison, Electrical Workers Union Local No. 304, Teamsters Union Local No. 696, Eagles Lodge and Moose Lodge.
His brother, Leo C. Philamalee, died in Topeka March 27, 1965.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma Jane Philamalee, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Billie Jean Yeaman, Edinburg, Ill.; his mother, Mrs. Eva Holmes, Whittier, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Lease, Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother, Arthur Philamalee, Glendora, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Rose M. Reardon died Wednesday at the home of her sister, Mae Reardon, 1031 Harrison, after a long illness.
She was born at White River, Colo., and has lived with her sister in Topeka since 1940. She was a member of the Assumption Catholic
hurch in Topeka and was a former member of the Cathedral of the Immacualate Conception at Leavenworth.
Besides her sister, a brother, William J. Reardon, Leavenworth, survives.

Tilda Rudeen, 91, Osage Citian, Dies
Osage City - Mrs. Tilda Rudeen, 91, Route 4, Osage City, died Saturday at the home of her son, Vernon Rudeen, in the Stotler community in Lyon County.
She was born Dec. 2, 1873 in the Stotler community, and spent all her life there and at Osage City. She was a member of the Stotler Mission Church.
Besides her son, survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Burkwell, Beaumont, Texas, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Sampson, Holton, Dies, Rites Pending
Holton - Mrs. Nellie May Sampson, 82, Holton, died Tuesday at a hospital here after a short illness.
She was born Jan. 6, 1883, at Rushville, Mo., and had lived in the Soldier community and at Holton 57 years. She was a member of the Christian church at Holton.
Her husband, William Sampson, preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, Wayne Sampton, Holton, Dyer Sampson, Burley, Idaho, and James Sampson, Garden Grove,
Calif., a half-brother, Erwin Hargrove, St. Joseph, Mo., three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Died: Emmet Township, McDonough County, Illinois
Mrs. Mary Simmons died at her home in Emmet township Thursday, Jan. 21, 1897, of debility incident to old age. She was born in the state of Maryland, April 29, 1810, and was in her 87th year at the time of her death. Her maiden name was Webster; when young she moved with her parents to Kentucky and in 1827 was united in marriage with Joshua Simmons. They moved to Illinois in 1834, settling in Emmet township, which continued to be their home until the death of each. Her husband died some ten or twelve years ago. She leaves surviving her nine children, Mrs. Mary Harden of Kansas, Mrs. Martha E. Wright, Mrs. Eliza Carter, Z. B. Simmons of Emmet, T. M. Simmons of Goodland, Kan.; Joe H. Simmons, Topeka, Kan., and Mrs. Sarah E. and John M. Simmons of Emmet. Four of her children were present at her death. She leaves 27 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She has been a constant member of the Baptist church for nearly 50 years. (Submitted by Sara Hemp)

Valley Falls.--Mrs. Jessie Stafford, 68, Valley Falls, died Tuesday in a Topeka hospital after a two-week illness.
She was born April 9, 1897 on a farm northest of Valley Falls, and had lived all her life in this community.
Mrs. Stafford was a member of the Methodist Church here; Chapter DK P.E.O., and Prairie Hall Club. For several years she served as correspondent for the Prairie Hall community, writing news stories for the Valley Falls Vindicator.
She married Melvin Stafford Dec. 29, 1915.
Survivors include her husband of the home; a son, Harold Stafford, of the home; a borther, Fred McCoy, Nortonville; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Methodist Church here with burial in the Valley Falls Cemetery. A graveside service will be conducted by Chapter DK P.E.O.

Orville D. Vines, Route 8, died Monday morning in a local hospital following a long illness. He was 62.
He was born Jan. 26, 1903 in Missouri. He retired in 1956.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cordelia Vines, of the home; two sons, Ray Vines, 1163 Plass and Donald Vines, Route 1, Scranton; three daughters, Mrs. Bernice Quest, Jacksonville, Ark., Mrs. Rozella Hays, Quam, and Mrs. Violet Markley, West Palm Beach, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Martha Hale, Sanger, Calif.

Valley Falls.--Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Hagge Funeral Home here for Clarence Walz, 62, Nortonville, who died Thursday in the Winchester hospital, where he had been a patient three weeks.
He was born Aug. 31, 1902 southwest of Atchison and lived in the Nortonville community the past 40 years.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Anna Kloepper, Nortonville, and a brother, George Walz, Denison.

Roy Welch, 79, Dies; Rites Are Pending.
Roy Welch, 79, 2015 N. Quincy, a retired farmer, died Sunday at his home after a long illness.
He was born July 4, 1885 at Scranton, and had farmed in the Burlingame and Scranton communities and the Grantville and Meriden communities before retiring in 1953.
Mr. Welch was a member of the East Side Baptist Church.
He and his wife celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 7, 1959.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Hattie Welch, of the home, survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Letha Murphy, Denver, Colo., Mrs. Flossie Haynes, Crestline, Ohio, and Mrs. Maxine Haynes, Ashland, Ohio; two sons, Dean Welch, Wichita, and Allen Welch, 3376 Girard; a sister, Mrs. Mary Williamson, 1290 College; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

James C. Wolfskill, 45, 1429 Indian Trail, died Sunday in a local hospital following a long illness.
He was born Dec. 5, 1919 at Chillicothe, Mo. He had been employed as manager of the Credit Union of Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.
Mr. Wolfskill had been a resident of Topeka three and a half years. He served in U.S. Navy in Pacific during World War II, and was a member of First Southern Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Wolfskill; and two sons, John C. Wolfskill, and Joe Wolfskill, all of the home.
