Rite Tuesday for Mrs. Hawk.
Lawrence - Services for Mrs. Maud Hawk, 87, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cooper-Warren Funeral Home here with burial in Pleasant View Cemetery, oskaloosa. She died Saturday night at her home here following a long illness.
She was born April 20, 1878 near Ozawkie. She lived in the Ozawkie and Oskaloosa communities until her husband, Harvey Hawk, died in 1932.
Mrs. Hawk then moved to Lawrence where she made her home with a daughter.
A son, Dwight Hawk died in 1941.
Mrs. Hawk was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star at Oskaloosa.

Mrs. Marian Henderson, 56, 2313 Harrison, died Monday in a Topeka hospital after a long illness.
She was born June 4, 1908 at Eskridge, and was a life long resident of the Topeka and Auburn communities.
Mrs. Henderson was a member of the Seventh Day Aventists Church. Her husband, William J. Henderson, died Dec. 31, 1964.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. LaVonne Warner, Sheriden, Wyo., Mrs. Albert Vopata, Marysville, and Mrs. Lois Jackson of the home, a foster daughter, Mrs. Delores Steckman, Victoria, Tex., two sons, Herbet Henderson, San Jose, Calif., and Judson Henderson, Route 1, Topeka, a sister, Mrs. Margaret Sayre, Los Angeles, Calif., two brothers, John Meredith, Denver, Colo., and Glenn Meredith, Junction City, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Meredith, Auburn and 24 grandchildren.

Holton - Mrs. Alice L. Hinnen, a lifelong resident of Holton, died Monday morning in a Topeka hospital. She was 81.
Mrs. Hinnen was born Sept. 22, 1883, in Holton. She was a member of the Holton EUB Church and Better Homes and Garden Club.
Survivors include her husband, George Hinnen of the home, a son Phillip Hinnen, Albuquerque, N.M., and a granddaughter, Mrs. Glenna Lickteig, Lawrence.

William Keen, Valley Falls, Dead at 89
Valley Falls - William Keen, 89, Valley Falls died Sunday at a Oskaloosa rest home.
He was born May 9, 1876 at Mexico, Mo. He was a retired farmer and had lived in this community since 1929.
Mr. Keen was a member of the Methodist Church here.
Survivors include a son, Leonard Keen, Valley Falls; and three grandsons.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Methodist Church here with burial in Valley Falls cemetery.

Mrs. Louie Maude Klusmire, 91, died Thursday at her home, 2401 Burnett Road.
She was born August 7, 1873 at Webster City, Iowa. She lived in the Holton community 71 years before moving to Topeka eight years ago. She was a member of the Christian Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. V. Lloyd Adam, Texas City, Texx., and Florence Klusmire and Edith Klusmire, both at home; a son, Orville Klusmire, Delano, Calif, four grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Frederick Reames Dies; Rites Slated.
Frederick J. Reames, 73, 1120 Huntoon, died Monday morning in a Topeka hospital.
Mr. Reames was a retired operator of the Reames Oil Distribution Company and was co-owner of Mobile Home Courts and sales at Salina.
He was born Dec. 9, 1891 at Rose Bud, Ark. He moved
to Topeka in 1935 from Great Bend, lived at Wichita from 1940 to 1945 when he returned to Topeka.
He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church here, Elks Lodge No. 1127 at Great Bend, and the state oilman's association.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mabel Reames, of the home; a son, Thomas J. Reames, St. Charles, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Jane Henry, Hendersonville, Tenn., and Mrs. Sue Smalley, Grantville; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Name Catholic Church with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. He will lie in state from 2 to 9 today at Brennan Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited today at 7:15 p.m. by Rosary Circle and at 7:30 p.m. by the parish. Oskaloosa - Services and burial will be Friday at St. Elmo, Ill., for Ray L. Seaton, 44, rural Valley Falls, who died of a heart attack Monday while at work at a manufacturing plant at Atchison.
He was born Dec. 25, 1921 at Kankakee, Ill. He was an Air Force officer before his retirement two years ago. He was a verteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Velma Seaton, at home; three sons, Dwight Seaton, Michael Seaton, and Ray Jo Seaton, all at home, and two daughters, Deborah Seaton and Pamela Seaton, both at home.

Lawrence - Mrs. Nellie Bertha Wolfe, 85, Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Topeka, died Tuesday in a Kansas City hospital.
She was born Sept. 3, 1879 in Mercy County, Pa.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Mrs. Pearl Griggs, Lawrence, and a niece Mrs. Earl Kaufmann, 527 Stanford Lane, Topeka.
Graveside services will be at 10 p.m. Thursday in Bethel Cemetery south of Tecumseh.

Wilson (Cap) Jones, 914 N. Michigan, died early Sunday in a local hospital after a short illness. He was 64.
Mr. Jones was born Jan. 5, 1901, at Reno, Kan., and had been a Topeka resident the past 25 years. He had served as a Shawnee County Sheriff's deputy and had been captain of the guard at both Winter Hospital and Veteran's Administration Hospital.
He was a member of the American Legion, and Eagles Lodge, Topeka, and AF & AM No. 6, of Lawrence. He had served in the U.S. Marines and in the Canadian Army.
Survivors include his wife, Leona of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Lamb, 1297 MacVicar; Mrs. LaVern Reynolds, Chinese Camp., Calif.

Mrs. Sophia Gilder, 88, 1128 Wanamaker Road, died Friday at a Topeka hospital.
She was born Nov. 22, 1876 in Douglas County. She lived in Lawrence before moving to Topeka in 1948. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge. Her husband, Hedley S. Gilder, died in 1938.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Robert Moss at home and Mrs. Kenneth Mitchell, Lawrence, a brother David Scheer, Odessa, Tex., and six grandchildren.

Holton - Philip James, 82, of Mayetta, died Tuesday at a Holton hospital after a short illness.
He was born July 1, 1882, near Mayetta and had been a life-long resident of that community.
There are no immediate survivors.
Services will be Wednesday evening at the Dance Ground west of Mayetta. In case of rain, services will be at the home of Anna Noskachum at Mayetta. Burial will be at the Dance Ground Cemetery.

Mrs. Jessie Denman Christensen, 79, 1135 College, died Thursday at the Methodist Home.
She was born Aug. 23, 1885 at Clifton and lived at Emporia before entering the Methodist Home, April 27, 1953. She was graduated from Baker University in 1909. She was a member of Lowman Memorial Methodist Church.
Her husband, the Rev. Alfred H. christensen a Methodist minister, died Nov. 30, 1958.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Christensen, Chicago, and Mrs. Mary Gillette, Castro Valley, Calif., two sisters, Mrs. S. J. Molby, 1135 College and Mrs. L. A. Winsor, Dallas, Tex., and three grandchildren.

Matthew Richling, 84, 948 Arter, died Sunday in a Topeka hospital.
He was born May 19, 1881 at Holton, and spent most of his life in the Circleville community. He had lived in Topeka the past seven years. he was a retired farmer.
He was a member of the Methodist Church at Circleville, Modern Woodmen of America and the Liberty Grange.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Anna Bartlett of the home, Mrs. Mary Rudy, Circleville, and Mrs. Pearl Atkinson Long, 611 W. 12th, and a grandson.

She was born Nov. 21, 1894, at St. Mary's and spent all her life in the Topeka area.

William James Stanley, 84, died Sunday in his home at Meriden after a long illness.
He was born Jan. 4, 1881 near Meriden and spent all his life in the Meriden community. He was a retired cement finisher.
He and his wife, Alice were married March 24, 1904.
Besides his wife, survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Marie Canrobert, 426 Wabash, Mrs. Vivian Smelser, 732 Twiss, and Mrs. Irene Matchett, Houston, Tex., two sons, Everett Stanley, Rocky Ford, Colo., and WIlliam James Stanley, Jr., Westminster, Colo.; a brother, George Stanley, Ozawkie; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Newell, Oskaloosa, nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.

Mrs. Graham Dies in Topeka after Illness
Mrs. Marjorie Iva Graham, 833 N. VanBuren, died of cancer Saturday in a Topeka hospital.
She was born in Topeka and was graduated from Topeka High School and attended Washburn University.
She was a member of Asbury Methodist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher. She was president of the Woman's Society of christian service and was a member of the Steward Board and the Missionary Society at the church.
Survivors include her husband, Wenton of the home, three sons, Robert A. Bean, Denver, Colo., William L. Bean, 822 Chestnut and Ivan O. Bean, Omaha, Neb., two daughters, Mrs. Sarah Simms, Germany and Mrs. Marcella Asford, of the home; her mother Mrs. Ivan S. Alexander, 812 N. Harrison a grandmother, Mrs. Fannie Campbell, 628 N. Topeka and 22 grandchildren.

She was born Jan. 8, 1892 at St. Clere in Pottawatomie county. She moved to Topeka 20 years ago from Meriden. Surviving are three brothers, Wallace B. Proctor, Los Angeles, Calif., Dean L. Proctor, Evanston, Wyo., and Fred Proctor, Phoenix, Ariz.
