IVERSON, LAWRENCE E.

MULVANE - Iverson, Lawrence E., 91, ret Boeing production planner, died Monday, August 15, 2005. Visitation 9am-8pm Wednesday at Senter-Smith Mortuary with services Thursday 10am at the United Methodist Church, Mulvane. Lawrence was born, July 27, 1914 in McPherson, to Gerhard and Louise Iverson. At the age of 4yrs old, the family moved to a farm east of Mulvane and in 1934, Lawrence left the farm and began working for the A.G. Huff meat market in Mulvane. On August 20, 1939, he married Juanita Kuhn in Stillwater, OK. From 1943 through 1945 he worked for Boeing and for Beech Aircraft. In 1946 he returened to the meat business and worked at the lockers in Mulvane and Derby. In July of 1948, he returned to Boeing and was employed there until he retired January 1, 1980. During these years, Lawrence helped build the baseball field known as Floyd Carver Field; he helped manage many of the teams and after his boys were grown he then became the caretaker for many years. Lawrence is survived by: wife of 65 yrs, Juanita; sons Dennis and wife Almetta, Wellingt on, Ron and wife Kathy, Edwards, CO, Steve and wife Stella, Derby and Richard of Hutchinson; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-gran dchildren. IVERSON, RICHARD WAYNE

Richard Wayne Iverson, 61, died Aug. 8, 2007, at Hospice House.

He was born Jan. 30, 1946, in Wichita, the son of Lawrence and Juanita Kuhn Iverson. A longtime resident of Hutchinson, he was a computer programmer for Collingwood Grain/ADM.

He belonged to St. Teresa's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council No. 612.

Survivors include: a son, Nathan, Hutchinson; a daughter, Genny Iverson, Hutchinson; his mother, Mulvane; three brothers, Ron, Vail, Colo., Dennis, Wellington, and Steve, Derby; and special friend, Betty Thomas, Hutchinson.

Rosary was held Friday at Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Hutchinson. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Hutchinson, with Father Stuart Smeltzer presiding. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mulvane Cemetery, with Father Michael J. Maybrier presiding.

Memorials may be sent to the Richard Iverson Memorial Fund, in care of Dillon Employee Credit Union.

Vernon was born in 1911 in Byron, OK. He graduated from Byron High School and attended American Business College in Wichita. He married Pearl Jewell on June 2, 1931 in Anthony, KS and lived in Viola, KS. He managed a country grain elevator for Continental Grain Co. and later moved to Enid.

MULVANE - Knight, Hazel V., age 85, retired owner of Knight Dance Studio and Dairy King both of Mulvane passed away August 31, 2007. Hazel was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Mulvane United Methodist Church. KOVAC, WILLIAM J.

Kovac, William J., 60, of Endwell, N.Y., passed away Friday, February 17, 2006, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, N.Y. He was predeceased by his mother, Loretta (Katleski) Kovac; father, Anthony Kovac; his in-laws, Betty J. and Vince F. Alvarez; and uncles, Stan Katleski, Dick Crane and Amil Katleski. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Debra (Alvarez) Kovac, Endwell; his son, Jeff Kovac, Binghamton; his sister and brother-in-law, JoAnn and James Curley, Binghamton; and his brothers-in-law, Dennis and Diana Alvarez, Mulvane, Kansas, and Timothy and Janet Alvarez, Mission Hills, Kansas; and his aunts, Jean Katleski and Marion Crane, Binghamton. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews, including Coleen, Cheryl, Brian, Kaylene, Guy, Brooke and Michael. He was a graduate of Seton High School, and a retiree of the IBM Corporation with 30 years of service. He was most recently employed at Cornell University at the time of his illness. Funeral Services have been held at the Allen Memorial Home, Endicott, NY. Graveside Services will be at 11am Saturday at Mulvane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations to the Alzheimer's Association, Southern Tier Chapter, 401 Hayes Avenue, Endicott, N.Y. 13760. Senter-Smith Mortuary has charge of the local arrangements.

KRAUS, KENNETH L. "KENNEY"

Kraus, Kenneth L. "Kenney," 71, retired Kraus Dry Cleaners, Derby Dairy Queen, Mulvane Dairy King and Krause Rental and Construction owner, died Friday, May 10, 2002. Service 10 a.m. Monday, Mulvane United Methodist Church.

Mr. Kraus was the past president of Sumner County Shrine Club, president and organizer of the Men's Club of OSLC and president of the Mulvane Historic al Museum.

He and his wife, Mauricia celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year.

Preceded in death by son, Kent Wayne Kraus in 2001.
