Hazlett of Eskridge and one of that city's most popular young men. The bride is the daughter of Chas. Sobke and
wife of Chalk who has lived in that vicinity all her life, and has many friends and acquaintance who wish them

of Herington were married at the Catholic parsonage in Herington on Monday, Oct 12th. by the priest. A reception
was given at the home of the bride's parents that night and the new couple came to Alma yesterday to visit his
parents. Judge Little and wife. The groom is a firemen on the Rock Island and a fine young man, and the bride is
highly spoken of as a charming young lady by those who know her. They will make their home in Herington, and the

Saturday evening S. P. G. Hastings and wife were surprised when some of their relatives and friends with well filled
baskets came in to take supper with them reminding them that 22 years ago that day, they had been married at the
home of Mrs. Hastings parents. Wm. Willey and wife. There were some present 22 years ago who could not be there
this time, among them a brother, Charles Hastings who departed for Oregon the following day and who they have not
had the pleasure of meeting since. Among the tokens of remembrance was a nice stand presented by Charles Kennedy.
After a prayer of thanksgiving offered by Rev. C. S. Howard, the guests departed wishing that Mr. and Mrs. Hastings

Golden Wedding at Wabaunsee
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Weddle of Wabaunsee, celebrated
their golden wedding Christmas day wilh a family reunion and dinner. This fine old couple were married at Louisville,
Kan., Dec. 26, 1877, by Judge. Sheldon.
Mr. Weddle is 74 years old and his wife 72. Mr.
Weddle came to Kansas in September 1868 from Medora, Inst, at the age of 14. Mrs. Weddle came in 1877 from Bath
county, Ky , and located at Irvine; and later moved to Louisville.
She was the. daughter of Lindsay Stratton. Mr.
Weddle's mother, Mrs. Isaac Weddle, is still living at the age of 90 at Flagstaff, Ariz. After their marriage they
lived three miles northeast of Louisville in the Adams Creek district To this union were born three daughters,
Mrs. Tom Anderson of Belvue. Mrs. Del William of Wamego and Mrs. Guy Sample of Pineville. Mo. There were also 19
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Weddle have lived in Wabaunsee a number of years where
Mr. Weddle Is special mall carrier between the Rock Island depot and the Wabaunse postoffice.
They are a fine old couple and have many friends

Hilda Dorothy, eldest daughter of Mrs.Bertha Femmel
and Charles, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Freeman, surprised their friends Saturday night by going to Wamego and being
married at midnight at the Methodist parsonage by Rev. Ira Beamer. Mr. and Mrs, Martin Zwarziger were the only
attendants. On their return a wedding lunch was served at the Zwanziger home.
Both young people are well and favorably known,
having lived here all of their lives. They are graduates of Alma High and the bride is a graduate of St Francis
Hospital at Topeka. The groom is one of Alma's young business men having been in the produce business since his
graduation. They will make their home with the bride's mother. The Enterprise joins their friends in extending
