Obituaries
Mrs. Jennie M. Antoine, 74 years old, died yesterday morning at her home near Kinney Heights on the Kansas side. Mrs. Antoine was born in France in 1843 and came to this country in 1874. Besides her husband, Louis Antoine, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. benjamin Wood of Billings, Mont.; Mrs. Mary Godard of Kinney Heights; Mrs. Margaret Malherd and Mrs. Loiuse Nenmer of this city, and two sons, Edward Antoine of Kinney Heights and Louis Antoine, Jr. of this city. Andrew Lawrence Bader, 95, Harrisonville, Missouri, formerly of Kansas City died Saturday at a hospital in Harrisonville.
He was born in Louisville, Kentucky, and lived in the Kansas City area until he moved to Harrisonville 15 years ago.
Mr. Bader was a stationary engineer for the Kansas City Power & Light Company for 40 years before he retired in 1956. He was also a home builder in the Kansas City area and a farmer and cattleman. He was a member of the John Lynn Retirement Club of KCP&L, the Midwestern Bee Keepers Association and the Harrisonville Senior Citizens Club.
He leaves a son, Lawrence A. Bader, Westwood; a daughter Mrs. Bettie R. Boley, Roeland Park; a brother, John Bader, Rogers Arkansas; a sister, Miss Isabelle Bader, Kansas City; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Maple Hill Chapel: burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel. (The Kansas City Times Monday, February 20, 1984, Page C 11)
William Blackman, 53 years old, 1305 South Thirty-fifth Street, Kanass side, died yesterday. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Blackman; one daughter, Mrs. Free Nuss Holsington, Kas.; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Munce, Milwaukee, Wis. BRIGHT, FRANK P.
Frank P. Bright, a carpenter, died yesterday morning at his home, 3007 Mersington Avenue. Mr. Bright was born in 1871. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lilly Bright and a daughter, Miss Hazel Bright of the home address. (Kansas City Star, July 7, 1917, page 3)
Miss Anna Dranthan, 83 years old, died yesterday at the home of her sister, Mrs. Jane Moling, 223 South Row Street, Rosedale. Besides Mrs. Moling, she is survived by another sister, Mrs. Eliza Clark of Sargent, Neb. The funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at Gate's undertaking rooms in Rosedale. Marcus C. Duer, a mechanic in the engineer's department of Wyandotte County, died suddenly yesterday noon at his home, 1015 Barnett Avenue, Kansas side. Mr. Duer was born in Rock Island, Ill., thirty-nine years ago. When he was 2 years old his family moved to the Kansas side, where he had lived since. He was employed in the St. Louis & San Francisco Railway Company shops on the Kansas side prior to two years ago, when he entered the employ of the county. Besides his widow, Mrs. Lola B. Duer, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Margaret Duer, 944 Reynolds Avenue; a daughter, Miss Leona Duer of the home, and a brother, Peter Duer of Heavener, Ok. The funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Second Presbyterian Church, Eleventh Street and Grandview Boulevard, Kansas side. Burial will be in Highland Park cemetery. Joseph Ebeck, 86 years old, died yesterday at his home four miles west of Argentine. Mr. Ebeck had lived in Wyandotte County, Kansas sixty years. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Andrew Ebeck, 1131 Wyoming Street, Kansas side, and Joseph Ebeck, Olathe, Kas., and three daughters, Mrs. Lydia Schuetz, Kansas side, Mrs. Annie Torpan, Lexington, Mo., and Mrs. Lizzie Beatty, Rosedale. Mrs. Amanda Eckles, 82 years old, died Thursday at her home, 401 Washington Park Boulevard. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Jennie Tunstall of the Kansas side. George H. Evans, 60 years old, died yesterday at his home, 732 Ohio Avenue, Kansas side. Mr. Evans had lived on the Kansas side forty years. Surviving besides his widow, Mrs. Julia Evans, are a son, James Evans of the home address and two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle McDowd, 2543 Alden Avenue, Kansas side, and Mrs. Elsie Hicks, 1317 Walker Avenue, Kansas Side. William Gumm, 45 yaers old died Thursday afternoon at his home, 2235 Brighton Avenue. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Gumm, home address and a brother, J. B. Gumm, Leavenworth. Alfred Harris, 52 years old, 1719 St. Charles Avenue, Rosedale, died yesterday in Osawatomie, Kas. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Emma Rhode, 1719 St. Charles Avenue, and three brothers, J. E. Harris, 1511 Stinson Avenue, Walter H. Harris, 1311 Southwest Boulevard, and Charles Harris, a soldier now in France. Mrs. Ella Johnson, 69 years old, died yesterday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles J. Larson, 434 West Sixteenth Street. Mrs. Johnson was born in Leonardville, Kas., and made her home there until a few months ago. Surviving besides Mrs. Larson, are another daughter, Miss Minnie Johnson, and a son, Charles Johnson of Leonardville. William Carlton McGill, 86, years old died yesterday morning at his home, 3605 Thompson Avenue. Mr. McGill has been a resident of Kansas City for many years. Surviving are three sons. Funeral services and burial will be at Solon, Ia. (Kansas City Star, September 20, 1919, page 2)
Patrick McGlynn, a pioneer fruit grower of Wyandotte County, died yesterday afternoon at his home, two miles southwest of the Kansas side. he was 73 years old. He was born in Ireland, and came to the United States in 1869. Mr. McGlynn had been a resident of Wyandotte County for forty years, thirty-nine of which were spent on the homestead where he died. Besides his widow, he is survived by a daughter, Miss Mary A. McGlynn of the home address; three sons, Patrick, McGlynn, Jr., and Thomas F. McGlynn of the home address and M. J. McGlynn of Seattle, Wash., and two brothers, Thomas McGlynn and Joseph M. McGlynn of this city. (Kansas City Star, September 20, 1919, page 2)
Leo Francis Meagher, the 8 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Meagher, died yesterday at the home, 3405 East Fourteenth Street. Surviving besides his parents, are five sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at the home at 10:45 o'clock this morning and at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mount Olivet, Kas. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Ethel Mattie Nelson, 12 year old daughter of Mrs. Matty Nelson, 1934 North Twenty-fifth Street, Kansas side, died yesterday. Mrs. Evaline Overocker, 59 years old, died yesterday at St. Mary's Hospital. Mrs. Overocker had livedin Kansas City forty-four years. Surviving is her husband, Frank H. Overocker, 1233 Grand Avenue. Joseph Roush, a retired carpenter, who until seven years ago had lived in Joplin, Mo., died Thursday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. W. Lavery, 2505A Peery Avenue. Mr. Roush was 88 years old. Recently he suffered a stroke of paralysis and blood poisoning which resulted from the scratch of a cat last week was the immediate cause of death. besides Mrs. Lavery, another daughter, Mrs. F. A. Mr. & Mrs. Hop Sanders received word Saturday that Hop's brother's wife, Mrs. A. J. Sanders of Kansas City
was critically ill and word of her death followed. Mr. & Mrs. Sanders left Monday, spent the night with Mrs.
Lucille Mudge in Topeka and she accompanied them to Kansas City Tuesday. Waldron Sanders came up from Clay Center
and helped in the Clover Farm store this week, and Mr. Aaron Carlson took care of Mr. Fammmie Shaffer. Mr &
Mrs. A. J. Sanders are former Courtland residents, Mr. Sanders operating a flourishing business at one time. (The

Richard F. Stroble, Sr., 69, Kansas City, Kansas, died May 29, 1987 at Bethany Medical Center. He was born in Shieffield,
Mo, near Jefferson City and lived in Kansas City, Kansas most of his life. Mr. Stroble worked for the Brown Strauss
Steel Inc. eight years and retired in 1983 as a machine operator. He was a former laborer for Rudy Patrick Seed
Co., where he worked 27 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Norlee Stroble
of the home; seven sons, Steven A Stroble, Walnut Calif., Richard F. Stroble, Jr., Michael W. Stroble, Sr., Roger
Lee Stroble, Roy G. Stroble, Sr., and Herschel C. Stroble of Kansas City, Kansas, and Henry C. Stroble of the home;
2 daughters, Rosemary E. Robinson, Shawnee, and Annette Y. Velasquez, Kansas City; a sister, Evelyn Harper, Kansas
City Kansas; 14 grandchildren; and a great granddaughter. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Maple Hill

Frank R. Stroble, 93, died Saturday at a nursing home at 6261 Leavenworth Road, where he had made his home. He
was born in Nienestadt, Austria, and had lived in Kansas City, Kansas 90 years. Mr Stroble had been a silk spotter
for area dry cleaning establishments several years before retiring in 1947. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic
Church and its Holy Name Society. Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Resing Chapel and at 9 a.m. at the
church; burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. The rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at the chapel, where friends may

Hospital yesterday.
He was an employee of the Morris Packing Company and formerly lived at 903 East Eighth Street.
He was born in Chicago. His widow and brother, Fred C. Hatch of Council Bluffs, Iowa, survive.
Funeral services will be held at Raymond's undertaking rooms, 431 Minnesota Avenue, Kansas City, Kansas, at 2:30

The father is a cabinet maker for Robert Keith & Company.
Besides the parents, four sisters and three brothers survive.

Samuel H. Wright, a laundryman, 1213 Benton Boulevard, died at 12 o'clock yesterday morning.
He was 39 years old and had lived in Kansas City for fifteen years.
He is survived by his father, A. R. Wright, and five sisters, Mrs. A. R. Moore, Mrs. Elva Wright, Mrs. H. H. Dedon of this city, Mrs. W. P. McClure, Portland, Oregon, and Mrs. R., A. Hogue, Quinton, Oregon.

The body of Mrs. Ada Skews, who was found dead
by her husband, H. H. Skews, at the home at 1422 Holmes Street yesterday afternoon, will be taken to Pocatello,
Idaho, the former home, for burial.
At the autopsy held by Dr. Harry Czarlitsky, deputy coroner, at Stewart's undertaking rooms yesterday morning,
