On motion of Eli Penny, letters of administration granted him on Estate of Phillip M. Penny, deceased, Mary Penny, widow gives her consent.
Bond: $2000
Eli Penny took oath prescribed by law.

PENNY, ELI - Date Sept. 3, 1827
On motion of Eli Penny, he is appointed guardian to Catherine Rucker, James and Ezekiel Rucker, infants of Wisdome Rucker, who has abandoned them. Eli Penny executed bond for $2000 together with Phillip Penny.
