The marriage of Mr. Wilbur Bodie, of this city, and Miss Mary McDermit, of St. Albans,
which took place at Catlettsburg, Ky., on Monday of this week, will come as a surprise to their many friends, both
here and at St. Albans. They are spending a week with relatives at Grayson, Ky., and a week at the home of the

Miss Ruby Chapman and Mr. James Timothy Harshbarger, two popular young people of Milton,
were married at the Boyd county courthouse at Catlettsburg, Ky., Wednesday, January 14. The pastor of the Christian
church performed the ceremony in the presence of Dewey Turley and Elmer Fields. [January
