Indenture made this 22nd day of April 1836 between Thomas W Cochran and Eleazer Cochran, both of the county of Calloway and state of Kentucky. for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and seventy-five dollars to him in hand paid for a tract of land lying on the West fork of Clark's River, and being the North west quarter of section seventy-one Township three Range three East, containing one hundred and sixty acres. In witness Thomas W. Cochran, together with Virginia Cochran, his wife, who relinquishes her right of dower to the land conveyed in this deed, provided that Thomas W. Cochran is indepted to Eleazer Cochran in the sum of one hundred and seventy-five dollars, as will more fully appear by note due the 22nd of April 1837, and if he shall pay off this note, then this indenture to cease and be of no effect, otherwise to remain in full force. In testimony Thomas W. Cochran and Virginia, his wife, have set their hands and seals the day and date first above written.
