In all probability it has been destroyed as it only contained some 5 or 6 graves. William Pettpoole his wife Martha and several slaves.

1st trip:

We drove out east of Murray, Ky. on Route 94 to County Road 280. continuing on 280 to Todd Road. We turned left and went about a mile to the house of Mrs. Black. Mrs Black told us the approximent location of the graves, and that all the graves had been marked with stones. (what we would call creek rock with no inscriptions) and said we might have trouble finding the graves because every thing was grown up in the area. If we would wait until later in the day when her son returned he would take us to the graves. Or if we would come back in the fall we would more easily find the graves. There was a hesitance on our part because of snakes and ticks to do a great deal of exploring.

2nd trip

We went up the hill across the road from Mrs. Black's home. We searched for quite awhile in the area with no success. Much of the area had been recently cleared with a bulldozer and then cultivated. It was possible that they had plowed over the graves site. The law in Calloway County says if graves are not marked you can farm over them. The possibility is still there that the graves were undisturbed next to the freshly tilled land in a grown up area of trees and brush. I believe that is the case.
