MURRAY, Kentucky Services for W.P. "Dub" Hurt, 82, of Murray will be at 1 p.m. Friday at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home of Murray with Carl Butler and Paul McWherter officiating. Burial will be at Barnett Cemetery.
He died at 7:04 a.m. Wednesday at Lourdes hospital in Paducah.
Mr. Hurt retired as a security guard from Emerson Electric in Paris, Tenn. He was a member of Sinking Spring Baptist Church near Murray, where he served as a deacon.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Hurt, one daughter, Diane Paschall of Puryear, Tennessee, one sister, Dorothy Kimbro of Murray; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters. His parents were Prince Albert Hurt and Eula Hutchens Hurt. Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral.
