  • Miss Ruth Reynolds was called to Chicago this week on account of the critical illness of her nephew, Alfred Graves

  • Mrs. W.M. Maffett is visiting here sister, Mrs. D.B. Stevens, at Covington.

  • Mr. and Mrs. Sam J. Ashbrook, of Lexington, are visiting MRs. Ashbrook's parents, Mr. and MRs. R.V. Bishop.

  • Mrs. R.P. Coughlin, of Lexington, spent a few days with her sister. Mrs. Loraine Bramble, and Mr. and Mrs. P. R. Megibben.

  • Miss Cora Addams is the guest of Mrs. H.K. McAdams and family in Lexington.

  • Miss Belle Crockett, of Mt. Sterling, and MRs. R.G. Osborne, of Dover, have been guests of Mr. and MRs. W.A. Durham

  • Mrs. Kenneth Gould and daughter,, of Louisville, have returned home after visiting, Mrs. Gould's mother, MRs. J. N. Ammerman.

  • Miss Fannie O'Brien, teacher at Jenkins, has returned home for the summer.

  • Mrs. R.H. Conway, who underwent an operation at St. Joseph's Hospital, Lexington, last week, is getting along nicely.

  • Mr. and Mrs. D.L. Cobb expect to leave May 15 for California.

  • The meeting of the Country Club will be held Thursday at the home of Mrs. E.F. VanDeren, on the Falmouth pike. Those on the program are Mrs. John Allen, MRs. P.H. Phillips, MRs. Durbin Wilson, Mrs. Eugene VanDeren.

  • The all-day meeting of the Missionary Society of the Methodist Church will be held Thursday with Mrs. D.R. Kimbrough.

  • The Cynthiana Musical Club will have its next meeting at the Christian Church. The public is invited. The program will be in charge of Mrs. S.A. Mickey, who will be assisted by members of the club, and Luther Rogers, violin. Louis Taggart, Cornet. Harold Ingles, saxophone, Vernon Adams, trombone.
