Cora Lee Rickman Adams
Was born September 27 1870 in Mayfield, Graves County, Kentucky, to John Lawson Rickman (b.1828 Tennessee d.1907 Graves County, Kentucky) and Sarah Ann Francis West (b. 1832 Kentucky d. 1923 Graves County,Kentucky). Cora grew up to be a teacher. On October 29 1896 in Graves County, Kentucky, she married Rollie Franklin Adams, he was born August 4 1866 in Mayfield, to Benjamin Adams and his wife Parolee Elizabeth Byrd. Her husband later told his children that "Your mother was the belle of the community in Kentucky". He thought she was so pretty. She had the nicest skin because she never used cosmetics. She was also known for her pretty trim ankles, even though she was heavy set. In about 1905 Rollie, Cora and their three oldest children moved to New Mexico. Their first son Paul had died in 1902 of whooping cough in Kentucky, and was buried in Trinity Cemetery, in Graves County. Her daughter Mable in an interview in 1994 described her as a hard working woman who loved to write poetry whenever she got a chance. She died December 11 1943, she was 73 years old when she died of a cerebral hemorrhage at the State Hospital in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Her husband Rollie died November 29 1959 in Roswell, Chaves County, New Mexico.

Mrs. R.F. Adams Dies at Hagerman
Mrs. R.F. Adams of Hagerman passed away Saturday morning at nine o'clock after an illness of two years. Mrs. Adams had lived in the valley for thirty seven years, coming here from Mayfield,Kentucky. She is survived by her husband R.F. Adams of Hagerman and six children. Mrs. Herman Carnect (sic Cormett) of San Jose, Calif, Wayne Adams of Hagerman,Bennie Adams of Conchas Dam, Conchas,New Mexico,Mrs. Victor Wyly, and Mrs. Orris Carroll of this city and Mrs. Dan Rogers, of Austin, Texas. She also leaves sixteen grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Danie Carr, of Mayfield, Kentucky, who is spending the winter with her son, Chester Carr, of this city, and one brother Amos Rickman, of Paducah, Kentucky. Funeral services are pending word from relatives.

The funeral services for Mrs. R. F. Adams, who died at Hagerman last week, will be held on Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Nazarene Church at Hagerman. Interment will be at South Park, Roswell Cemetery.

Rites Tentative For Rollie Adams
Rollie F. Adams, father of Realtor Wayne Adams and a resident of this county for 54 years, died at 1:30 am today in Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Mr Adams was a Dexter and Hagerman farmer. His wife died 16 years agao.Funeral service has tentatively been set for 10am Monday in Ballard Chapel. Ballard Funeral Home said a complete announcement would be made prior to the rites.

Adams Rites Are Slated Tomorrow
Funeral service for Rollie Franklin Adams 93, father of Wayne Adams, realtor ,and of Mrs. Evelyn Carroll and Mrs. Aylene Wyly, all of Roswell, will be at 10 am tomorrow in Ballard Chapel. Mr. Adams died at 1:30 am Friday in Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. He had lived in Chaves County for 53 years, had farmed at Dexter,Hagerman and Roswell,with A. I. Falls of Roswell he established the first organized Sunday School at LFD, was active in church and civic affairs. Mr. Adams was born in Hickory Grove, Kentucky,on August 4 1866, Hickory Grove is near Mayfield. He attended local schools and Bowling Green Business College. In October 1896 he married Cora Lee Rickman, They were the parents of eight children of whom six survive. Survivors are two sons, four daughters, 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, five nieces, and a sister. Sons are Wayne of Roswell and Bennie of Hayward, Calif., daughters, Mrs. Orris (Evelyn) Carroll, Mrs, Victor (Aylene) Wyly, both of Roswell, Mrs. Dan (Mable) Rogers of Dallas, Texas, and Mrs. Herman (Moyna) Cornett of San Jose, Calif. The sister is Mrs. Ruth Adams of Key of Mayfield, Kentucky. The Rev. Kenneth Frey, First Church of the Nazarene and the Rev. Henry Shierioh, Church of God, will conduct the rites tomorrow. There will be special music directed by Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Pierce. Burial will be in South Park. Pallbearers all grandsons, will be Dan, John, and Paul Adams, Robert and Ronald Miller, and Lamar Wyly.Honorary, Bay Curry, Wesley Estes, Oscar Kiper, Fate Kuykendall, Elmer and Royce Lankford, J.W. Sharp, Ernest Utterback, and J. V. Vickers.
