with said road to the Cumberland River at Harman's Ferry. Thence up the Cumberland River with its meanderings to the beginning.
The voting place shall be the court house of the said town of Eddyville.
District Number 2: Commencing at Eddy Creek where county line crosses the same; thence, with the county line to the Cumberland River; thence, down the river with the meanderings then to the Mouth of Machan Branch; thence, with the line of district number one to the beginning. The voting place of said district to be at the Rolling Mill.
District Number 3: All that section of the County lying between the Cumberland and Tennessee Rivers. The voting place of said district to be at the house of George W. Lady.
District Number 4: Commencing at Harman's Ferry on Cumberland River; thence, with the Varmint Trace Road to the County line to Livingston Creek; thence, down with said creek with its meanderings to beginnings.
The voting place of said District to be at the school house near New Bethel Church.

Shortly after this there was an election held for the purpose of electing county officers. The following is the result of that election, the first ever to be held in Lyon County. It was held Monday, April 3, 1854.
"Samuel P. L. Marshall received the highest number of votes for County Judge.
William H. Kilgore received the highest number of votes for Circuit Court Clerk.
Marcus M. Tyler received the highest number of votes for County Court Clerk.
Reuben R. O'Hara received the highest number of votes for County Attorney.
James G. Glenn received the highest number of votes for County Surveyor.
John Long was elected as the County Jailer.
Henry Lady, Jr. was elected as County Coroner.
Charles F. Jenkins was elected as County Sheriff.
