Caldwell Parish French: Paroisse de Caldwell Caldwell Parish was created in 1838 from territories in Catahoula and Ouachita Parishes. Columbia is the parish seat. It is south of Monroe, Louisiana, situated in the north central part of Louisiana The slogan adopted by the people of Caldwell Parish in Columbia  is the "Little City of Happy Homes on the Ouachita" Though Caldwell Parsih is small in size an populatin it is full of beautiful scenery, towering forest's, and many lakes available for fishing.
