the
31st
inst.,
near
Bayou
Sara,
Mr.
W.
K.
Pryor
of
Jackson,
La.,
while
driving
towards
home,
with
a
load
of
store
supplies,
was
thrown
from
his
wagon
by
a
sudden
lurch
thereof
into
a
pitch-hole,
and
falling
off
directly
in
front
of
the
vehicle,
it
passed
over
his
chest,
when
the
horses
being
checked
by
the
lad
who
was
driving,
they
suddenly
backed,
and
again
the
wheels
moved
over
the
body
of
the
unfortunate
man.
His
injuries
proved
mortal,
and
in
an
almost
senseless
condition,
he
lingered
until
the
next
day,
when
he
died.
