Isabelle
Ann Salisbury of Angleton finished her Earthly journey
and went to join her savior and family in heaven on
January 19, 2009. Isabelle (“Belle”) was born in
Scott, Louisiana, on October 7, 1922, to Galbert and
Lelia Broussard. She attended the University of
Southern Louisiana, where she majored in home
economics.
While employed at the First
National Bank of Angleton, Belle met R.L. “Bob”
Salisbury at the pharmacy next door to the bank on her
coffee break. Belle and Bob were married on May 28,
1959, in Angleton, where they made a home for their
blended family.
Belle later worked with Bob
in his auto repair business, substitute taught at the
local schools and retired from the City of Angleton
after a number of years service. Belle was active in
church ministry at Central Assembly of God Church and
taught Sunday school for many years. True to her “Cajun”
upbringing, Belle was a wonderful cook, and friends
and family looked forward to meals in her home.
Isabelle was preceded in
death by her parents; her husband, R.L. Salisbury;
son, Robert G. Salisbury; and her sister, Yolande
Babineaux.
She will be missed by her
children and their families, Rocky Boudreaux (Lona),
Janice Mayfield (John) and Sherilyn Plentl (Perry);
grandchildren, Michael Boudreaux (Monica), Jared
Mayfield, Janell Mayfield, Monika Saenz (Miguel) and
Dustin Plentl (Jennifer); great-grandchildren,
Mickaela and Morgan Boudreaux, Parker Plentl, Miguel
Saenz III and Maximillian Saenz; and by her loving
nephew, Jules Babineaux and his family.
Visitation will be held
Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at Palms Funeral Home from
6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Services will be on
Wednesday, January 21, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Palms
Funeral Home Chapel of the Roses with Patrick Garrett
officiating.
Interment will be at Angleton
Cemetery under the direction of Palms Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be
grandsons, Michael Boudreaux, Jared Mayfield and
Dustin Plentl; and nephews, Jules Babineaux, Dean
Salisbury and Mark Salisbury.

Murphy Allen Adams March 27, 2004
LYONS POINT ? Funeral services will
be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2004, at St. John the
Baptist Catholic Church in Lyons Point for Murphy Allen
Adams, 62, who died Thursday, March 25, 2004, at his
residence in Morse.
Interment will be in St. John the
Baptist Cemetery in Lyons Point.
The Rev. David Broussard, pastor of
St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota and St. Michael Chapel in
Egan, will officiate the services.
Mr. Adams spent his career serving
and protecting Acadia Parish and the state of Louisiana by
serving
37 years in law enforcement; 20
years with the State Police and 17 years with the Acadia
Parish Sheriff's Office.
He is survived by his wife of 42
years, Percella T. Adams, of Morse; two sons, Graycen C. and
Judson P. Adams, both of Lyons Point; one daughter, Karen A.
Leger and her husband, Raymond Jr., of Morse; three
grandchildren, Cher K., Sharise N. and Travis Chase Leger,
all of Morse; and three brothers, Lawrence and Roy Adams,
both of Lyons Point, and Mark Adams, of Montgomery, Ala.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by
his parents, Homer and Clevena Simon Adams; and one infant
sister.
Visitation was observed from 2 p.m.
until 10 p.m. Friday and will continue from 8 a.m. Saturday
until time of services at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in
Crowley.
Deacon Rodless Leleux led the
rosary at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Kala Shondell Adams November 3,
2004
LAFAYETTE - Memorial services will
be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, at Family Life
Christian Fellowship Church for Kala Shondell Adams, 23, who
died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004.
She was born in Lubbock, Texas,
raised in Hobbs, New Mexico, and moved to Lafayette in 1996.
When born, she was not expected to survive as she was the
smallest preemie to live at that time.
The Rev. Marshall J. Clotiaux,
pastor of Family Life Christian Fellowship Church, will
conduct the funeral services.
Kala was a 1999 graduate of
Acadiana High School with honors. She was a drummer, ran
track and was a cheerleader at Heizer Middle School in
Hobbs, New Mexico. She had been an employee with Sonic Drive
Inn for the past seven years and worked her way into
management where she was known for her incredible strength
and loyalty with employees and all of her friends. In life,
she had many successes, surviving birth, seven years at
Sonic and Blaze Tyler was her life. She attended Temple
Baptist Church in Hobbs, New Mexico where she was baptized
at 12 years of age.
Survivors include her mother, Terre
Adams, of Hobbs, N.M.; her father and stepmother, Joseph R.
and Louise Adams, of Yelm, Wash.; her son, Blaze Tyler
Leger, of Duson; and her fiance, Nick Leger, of Duson, with
whom she spent six wonderful years; her sister, Kristal Rae
Adams, of Maurice, La.; her step-brothers, Michael Cox, T.
J. Cox and Dustin Cox, all of Midland, Texas; and her
paternal grandparents, Joseph H. and Marie Adams of
Lynnwood, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her
sisters, Karen and Kimberly Adams; and maternal
grandparents, Tommie and Lorene Huizar.
Visiting hours will be observed
from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday at Family Life Christian
Fellowship Church. After the memorial service, the family
will receive friends at Fezzo's Hall (the old Lions Club in
Scott), 100 Lions Club Road, Scott, La.

ABBEVILLE - Funeral services will
be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2005, at a Mass of
Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church
honoring the life of Edwin Mouton, 76, who died Thursday,
May 19, 2005, at a Lafayette hospital.
He will be laid to rest at St. Paul
Cemetery with the Rev. Barry Crochet officiating the
services. Pallbearers will be Robin Mouton, Cedric Mouton,
John LeBlanc, Tim Gabor, Amos Hebert and Loicey Hebert.
He is survived by his wife, Romona
Abshire Mouton, of Abbeville; three sons, Bryan Cedric
Mouton and wife, Nanette Motty, of Abbeville, Robin Patrick
Mouton, of Key West, Fla., and Charles Wade Mouton, of Baton
Rouge; and three sisters, Hazel M. Vincent, of Kaplan,
Maudry M. Deshotel, of Kaplan, and Jane M. Briolo, of
Kaplan.
He was preceded in death by his
parents, Joseph Mouton and the former Azema Hebert; a
brother, Ledwood Mouton; and a sisters, Gladys M. Trahan.
The family requests that visiting
hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St.
Charles, Abbeville, from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. today, May 22,
2005, with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m. Visitation will
continue Monday, May 23, 2005, from 8 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.
when the procession will depart for the church.
