THOMAS JOHN KELLY, Kawkawlin, Michigan, age 76, passed away at his home on Monday,
September 8, 2003 following a brief illness. He was born in Bay City on August 24, 1927 to the late Thomas B. & Ella (Krieg) Kelly.
He married the former Patricia Ann Salois on July 5, 1952 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bay City. She preceded him in death in 1986. Tom served with the U.S. Army in the Military Police, worked at JK Market from 1947 to 1962 and at Star Motor Sales as a car salesman from 1962 to 1979. Tom loved his family and dearly loved his son and daughter. He especially loved to watch his grandson learn to fish and hunt. Tom enjoyed his hunting camp and sharing laughs with his family. He is survived by his daughter, Katie Louise & Jeffrey Lasick of Nunica, MI; son, Daniel T. Kelly of Kawkawlin; grandson, Thomas Quinn Kelly of Kawkawlin; sister, Cecilia Behm of Flat Rock, MI; brothers and sister-in-law: Yvonne & Vince O'Connor, Ruth Wackerle, Bob & Betty Salois, Helen Salois, Mary Lou & Gene Bleck, Jane Landosky, Dan & Betty Salois; many nephews and nieces and a special nephew, Joe Krzysiak. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, sisters and brothers-in-law: Kathleen Krzysiak and husband Joseph, Betty Charters and husband Bill, brother Wally, brothers-in-law: Frank Behm, Melvin Wackerle, Bill Salois, Al Landosky and Kathleen & Larry Seidel. According to Tom's wishes cremation has taken place and no visitation is scheduled. ALFRED NEWCOMB , aged 92 years, Friday morning at 5 o'clock. He is survived by his wife and six children, Mrs. Angus Orr, with whom he made
his home, Mrs. Louis Burnor, and Joseph Newcomb, of Bay City; Mrs. J. Hesson, of Buffalo; Mrs. theodore Gould, of Manistee; and James Newcomb of Tacoma
Washington, also 32 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. the funeral will take place Monday morning from St. Mary's Church at 9 o'clock. Interment at St. Patrick's."
JULIA (CAUDLE) NEWCOMB, aged 89 years, widow of Captain Alfred A
Newcombe, died at the home of her son, Joseph, on Henry Street, north, after a
month's illness. Surviving are her two sons and four daughters, James of Tacoma
Washington, Mrs. J. R. Hesson, of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Theo. Gould of
Manistique, Mrs. A. E.Orr, Mrs. L.A. Burnor, and Joseph Newcombe, all of this
city".
