Bird's-Eye View from Fort Brady, Sault Ste. Marie, MI (Monster Bascule Bridge open in distance). (1930s)
Across the river at Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, one finds many drives over macadam and good gravel roads leading to beautiful glens and falls, and to lakes and streams abounding in fish. Spectacle and Monocle Lakes and Point Iroquois Light House are picturesque and interesting spots. Mission Hill, overlooking these lakes, forms with Gros Cap on the Canadian side, the gateway from Lake Superior and Whitefish Bay to the St. Marys River. Contributed by Paul Petosky
