He Was the Father of Speaker E. J. Adams of Grand Rapids G. O. Adams, the father of Speaker E. J. Adams, died yesterday morning at his old home in Dushville, Isabella county, from pneumonia. His illness began to resume dangerous form the latter part of last week, and the speaker, who had expected to remain until the close of the special session of the legislature and declare the house adjourned without date, was obliged to leave Saturday and go to the bedside of his father. Mr. Adams was one of the well known men of the county, having been a general merchant for a long time. He was 65 years old, and previous to his last illness had been of rugged constitution. The funeral will be held from the family residence at Dushville on Thursday.
