Welcome to "Jackson County Michigan"
Birthplace of the Republican Party
Hi, my name is Jan Stypula, and I am the host for Jackson County Michigan. I grew up in Jackson County and a portion of my family has been in the area since the 1830's. I will be adding information to the website as I can find it and get it transcribed. Your Jackson County family information is very important to all researchers, and I hope you will consider contributing it. Biographies, Obituaries, Family Stories, County and Township Histories, Photos, whatever you have, will be appreciated, and used in a free and open way and attributed to you. Anything else you might find hidden away could break down somebody's brick wall. If you have books or CD's you could send me -- I'll do my best to get them transcribed. We do this because we are a totally free, not for profit organization, dedicated to the promotion of "Free Genealogical and Historical Information". WE REGRET THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO DO PERSONAL RESEARCH FOR YOU, BUT WE ARE CONTINUALLY ADDING NEW DATA.

So bookmark us and check back often -- Information and County data will be posted as fast as it comes to me.

If you think you'd be interested in hosting a county (in Michigan or elsewhere) -- please visit our Volunteer Information Page for the details.

If you would like to become a transcriber for any of our states check out the new Transcriber Page for the details.
