Broderick, railway official; born, Caledonia, Ont., Apr. 1, 1866; son of David E. and Jane (Moshier) Broderick; educated in public schools, Caledonia high school and collegiate institute, St. Thomas; married at Niagara Falls, Ont., Dec 26, 1887, Eva E. Wilson. Began active career as clerk in general office, advanced to night ticket agent and was city ticket agent, Canada Southern R.R. Co., St. Thomas, 1882-85; became clerk in general office Chicago & Northwestern Ry., at Muskegon, Mich., September, 1885; resigned, April, 1887, and returned to St. Thomas to engage in clothing business with father as Broderick & Sons; reentered service of Chicago & West Michigan Ry., at Muskegon, Apr. 1, 1888, removed to Grand Rapids, with same company, Mar. 1, 1889; appointed ticket accountant same road, and Detroit, Lansing & Northern Ry., Feb. 1, 1890; removed to Detroit, with general offices, June 22, 1900; resigned Feb. 1, 1903, to accept position of auditor passenger accounts, Michigan Central R.R. Co. Baptist. Member Masonic order, Knights of Pythias, National Union Woodmen. Club: Fellowcraft. Recreations: Trout fishing and cricket. Office: Gen'l Offices Mich. Cent. Ry., Detroit. Residence: 307 W. Grand Blvd.
