GEORGE F.W. REID

George F.W. Reid. superintendent The Bradstreet Company; born, Avon, Ont., Feb.23, 1873; son of William C. and Sarah E. (Lane) Reid; educated at Union High School, Grand Rapids, Mich.; married at Grand Rapids, June 27, 1895, to Allie M. Lobdell. Began business career in the office of The Bradstreet Company at Grand Rapids, Mich.; as messenger boy, and was advanced to each desk in the office until promoted to superintendent, which position he filled for five years; next spent three years as special representative of the executive offices in New York City; represented the company for a year at Cincinnati, O, and Louisville, Ky.; has been in charge of the Detroit office since May 1, 1905. member for three years of Michigan National Guard (Custer Guard) at Grand rapids. Republican. Congregationalist. Member York Lodge, F.&A.M., Grand Rapids. Club: Fellowcraft. Recreations: Boating, duck shooting and fishing. Office; 407 Union Trust Bldg. Residence: 77 Alger Av.
