BROWN, Mrs. W.H. ?? - 1898 - The sad and sudden death of Mrs. Brown, wife of Patrolman W.H. Brown, which occurred last Thursday evening at her late residence, No. 14 Paddock street, caused by the fatal disease peritonitis, cast a gloom over the many friends that she had gathered about while she lived in this city, for she was a lady that had a large circle of acquaintances and was loved by all that knew her. Mrs. Brown's maiden name was Carrie Lowe, and she was born in Townawanda county, N.Y. in 1881, and when a small child she came to Cedar Springs, Mich., with her parents, where she lived until married, which was ten years ago the 17th of last month. The deceased leaves, besides a loving husband, are brothers and two sisters to mourn her loss. Two of her brothers live in this city, George and frank Lowe, Peter in New York state, Lewis in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. and Henry in Courtland township this county. Her sisters are Mrs. Fred Gaul and Mrs. Harrinon Hall of Solon township this county.
