Charles Clifford Smith
Born, July 28, 1828, Dunbarton, N.H. Son of Jacob B. and Hannah (Emery) Smith. Fitted at Phillips Exeter Academy. Attended Berkshire Medical Institute, 1851. Taught school for a time after graduation from Dartmouth. Practiced for thirty-four years at Redford, Mich. Was assistant surgeon of the 24th Michigan Volunteers, 1862-63; member of the legislature of Michigan, 1867-68.
Died, Apr. 17, 1890, Bell Branch, Mich., of grip.
