Menominee County Michigan Obituaries   G EDYTHE (HANSON) GERVAIS - of Crystal Lake IL Services for Edythe "Lois" Gervais, 81, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake IL, with the Rev. Cesar Pajarillo officiating. Interment will be in Crystal Lake Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Avenue, Crystal Lake, and from 9 a.m. until the time of the services Tuesday, at the church. Born April 5, 1924, in Spalding, Mich., the daughter of Theodore and Edythe (nee Doyle) Hanson, she died on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, at the Fountains of Crystal Lake. After graduating from Cass Tech High School in Detroit, she enlisted in the Coast Guard and served with the Spars during WWII. On July 20, 1951 she married Ernest "Ernie" Gervais of Terre Haute, Ind. She was a proud member of the American Legion, and enjoyed being with her family. She is survived by her husband; eight children, Donald (Sandy) Gervais of Crystal Lake, David (Susan) Gervais of Cary, Mark Gervais of Houston, Gary (Aileen) Gervais of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Greg (Brenda) Gervais of Herod, Ill., Suzanne (Darrell) Steeves of Hoadley, Alberta, Canada, Allen Gervais of East St. Louis, Ill., and Christopher Gervais of Lake in the Hills; eleven grandchildren, Eric of Ithaca, N.Y., Michelle of Palo Alto, Calif., Mathieu of Chicago, Kristin of Harrisberg, Cody of Rimbey, Alberta, Canada, Martina and Patrick of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Melissa and Lindsay of Hoadley, Alberta Canada, and Ashley and Oakley of Lake in the Hills; and several nieces and nephews.
