of Waukegan IL Funeral services for Harold H. Paul, 84, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee IL, with the Rev. Gehl Devore and the Rev. Melissa Earley officiating. Burial will follow at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee. Friends may meet with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the services Thursday, at the funeral home. Born June 20, 1921, in Menominee, Mich., to William and Catherine (nee Nellis) Paul, he passed away Friday. July 1, 2005, at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan IL. Harold married Grace E. Gray on Jan. 11, 1947. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, an avid golf player and a Chicago Cubs fan. He was a member of the Windy City Winnies, Good Sam and a charter member of Living Faith United Methodist Church in Waukegan. He retired in1980 from Great Lakes Civil Service and Navy Printing & Publication. Surviving are his son, Bill (Ellen) Paul of Grayslake; daughter, Peg (Tom) Grutzmacher of Waukegan; grandchildren, Michael, Leslie and Lindsey Paul, and Paul and Amy Grutzmacher; many nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Loretta Walters. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace in 2001; and brothers, Robert and Donald Paul.

Funeral services for Dorothy E. Plumb (nee Beiring), 87, will begin with prayers at 9:30 a.m. today, at Zimmerman-Ehringer Funeral Home, 7319 W. Madison St. (2 blocks west of Harlem), Forest Park IL
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Bernardine Catholic Church. Interment will be Wednesday, in Spalding Township Cemetery, Spalding, Mich. Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Robert F.; loving mother of Donna (Karl) Gawlas) and Barbara (Robert J.) Wachholz; dear grandmother of Paul, Patricia and Peter Gawlas, Lisa, Anthony, Angela and Renee Wachholz, Julie (Dennis) Brummel, Jennifer Wachholz, Jessica (Kevin) Vosburgh and Robert Wachholz Jr.; fond great-grandmother of nine; and devoted aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
