Alonzo Newton Knapp

Born, South Lyon, Mich., Mar. 11, 1869; son of Alonzo S. and Hannah (Bentley) Knapp; educated in public schools of South Lyon, and Detroit Business College; married at Chicago, Mar. 31, 1902, Bernice E. Knapp. Began active career as bookkeeper in jewelry house at Detroit; then became secretary to proprietor of Oakland House, St. Clair, Mich.; was with Baby & Dale, steamship agents, two years; entered service of Thomson Line of steamers, 1892, as clerk on boat and continued for eight years; has been traffic manager of the line since 1899. Republican. Episcopalian. Member Masonic order, Maccabees. Recreation: Fishing. Office: Foot of Randolph St. Residence: 175 Adams Av., E.
