RICHARD A. RUCK , 80, a 40-year resident of Royal Oak, formerly of West Bloomfield, died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, in William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. He was born Feb. 7, 1919, in Rock Island, Illinois. Mr. Ruck was a printer at various local businesses, including the Birmingham Eccentric. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, was an avid golfer and a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church of Royal Oak. Surviving are his wife, Ruth (Warner), whom he married June 15, 1940, in Davenport, Iowa; son Stephen P. Ferris of Royal Oak; brother William E. Ruck of Louisville, Ky.; and one granddaughter, Lisa. A daughter-in-law, Nancy Ferris, is deceased. Visitation, 2-4 p.m. and 6-1 p.m. Friday at Kinsey-Garrett Funeral Home, 420 Lafayette, Royal Oak; service, 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Samuel C. Seizert of the First United Methodist Church of Royal Oak officiating. Burial White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Troy. RUTH (WARNER) RUCK , 86, a 40-year resident of Royal Oak, formerly of West Bloomfield, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999 at William Beaumont hospital, Royal Oak. She was born Oct. 16, 1913, in Ladd, Ill. Mrs. Ruck was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church in Royal Oak and was an avid golfer who golfed at the Royal Oak Golf Club five times a week. Her husband, Richard, died April 13, 1999. They were married June 15, 1940 in Davenport, Iowa. Her siblings are also deceased. Surviving are her son, Stephen P. Ferris of Royal Oak and granddaughter Lisa (Mark Weissman) Ferris of Bloomfield Hills. Visitation, 10 a.m. Monday at Kinsey-Garrett Funeral Home, 420 S. Lafayaette Avenue, Royal Oak; service, 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Susan DeFoe Dunlap officiating; burial, White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
