   Population, 500, On the shore of Lake Michigan in Thompson township, Schoolcraft county, 6 1/2 miles southwest of Manistique, the county seat and banking point.  South Manistique on the Minneapolis, St. Paul & Sault Ste. Marie Railway, 4 1/2 miles northeast, is its nearest railroad point.  A fine breakwater is situated here.  Telephone connection.  Mail daily.  John Patterson, Postmaster.
