ALFRED HUSSEN

Alfred Hussen, born, Tannersville, Pa., Sept. 8, 1861; son of William and Eliza Husen; married at Detroit, Mar. 18, 1891, Lottie Dandell. Began in tobacco business as "stripper" for Scotten, Lovett & Co., 1876 at 19 went on the road as traveling salesman, and later was made superintendent of department for manufacture of plug tobacco, the firm being at that time Daniel Scotten & Co., which sold out to the Continental Tobacco Co., 1899, as an independent company, of which has been vice president and director from time of organization.
