Has been a resident of Michigan since 1857; came to Detroit, 1867; has been identified with manufacture and sale of men’s furnishings since the beginning of his business career; senior partner of M.M. Stanton & Co., organized, 1871. Public lighting commissioner of Detroit; was police commissioner under Mayor Maybury. Member Board of Commerce, Detroit Wholesalers’ Association.
