WARNER, Willard E., lawyer; born, Orleans, N. Y., Oct.
14, 1860; son of Ulysses and Eliza Ann (Jones) Warner; educated in village
ungraded school until I878; Canandaigua Academy, three years, 1880-83,; Law
Department, University of Michigan, 1883-84; married at Detroit, July, 26, 1904,
Gertrude A. Friedman. Entered law office of Griffin & Warner, Detroit, I884,
and was successively connected with Griffin, Warner, Hunt & Berry; Griffin,
Warner & Hunt, and Warner, Codd & Warner, until 1900. Was with Michigan
State Tax Commission for one year, in appraisal of taxable properties of the
state, and with Professor M.E. Cooley under that commission and the
authorization of Governor Pingree, in ascertaining the values of railway and
other specific tax-paying properties. Has practiced law alone since 1901director
The C. H. Little Co., limestone, cement, plaster, sewer pipe, etc. Member
Detroit Bar Association, Michigan State Bar Association. Republican. Member
Masonic order (Palestine Lodge). Club: Wayne. Recreations: Culture and care of
