Know all men by these Presents, that I, William Henderson Guardian of Sarah H Henderson, a minor

Pursuant to an order of the Judge of the Court of Probate, for the County of Wayne and State of Michigan, held at the Probate Office in the City of Detroit in said County and State, on the twenty-fourth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven authorizing, empowering and licensing him to sell at Public Auction, in conformity to the Statute in such case made and provided, sufficient of the Real Estate whereof said Sarah H Henderson seized, for the purpose in said order mentioned I did sell at Public Auction, held at the Probate Office in the City of Detroit in the County of Wayne and State aforesaid, pursuant to legal notice, all the estate, right, title and interest of said minor of, and in and to certain Real Estate and premises in said order set forth and hereinafter described, to Richard H Hopson he being the highest bidder therefore, which said sale was made by an order of the said Judge of Probate, on the twenty-nineth day of A! ugust in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight duly confirmed and he the said Guardian directed therein to execute, acknowledge and deliver a proper conveyance or conveyances of said Real Estate so sold to the purchaser there of, agreeably to the statute in such case made and provided.

Now know ye, that in pursuance of said several orders and proceedings above referred to, and in consideration of the sum of eight hundred dollars paid to me by said Richard H Hopson the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, have sold, and do hereby give, grant, sell and convey unto the said Richard H Hopson his heirs and assigns, Forever, All that certain piece or parcel of land situated and described as follows, to wit, Lot Number Four (4) in block Number Sixty two (62) South of Abbott Street on the Woodbridge Farm (so called) in said City of Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.

To have and to hold the above granted premises, with the appurtenances, to the said Richard H Hopson his heirs and assigns, forever and I do hereby covenant with the said Richard H Hopson that I will warrant and defend the said granted premises, with the appurtenances, unto the said Richard H Hopson his heirs and assigns, forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all persons claiming by, from or under him but against no other persons.

In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal at Detroit in the County of Wayne and State aforesaid this first day of September A.D. one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

On this first day of September A.D. one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight before me, a Notary Public in and for said County, personally came the above named William Henderson known to me to be the person who executed the foregoing instrument and acknowledged the same to be his free act and deed, as Guardian as aforesaid as in said instrument described.
