SAUK RAPIDS, Minn., June 3. - Mr. and Mrs. Edward Clifton sr. celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at their home here yesterday.
The wedding took place in Sauk Rapids on June 1, 1862, and Mr. and Mrs. Clifton have lived here ever since. Mr. Clifton was born in England and Mrs. Clifton in Ohio. Mr. Clifton enlisted and served a year and a half in the Civil war and both were in Sauk Rapids during the Indian uprising and at the time of the cyclone. They have five children, Thomas and Mrs. John Avery of St. Paul, Mrs. Frank Keller, Edward and Miss Olive.

SAUK RAPIDS, Minn., Jan. 18. - Mr. and Mrs. Robbers entertained a number of the immediate friends in honor of their golden wedding anniversary yesterday.
Mr. Robbers came to this section of the country in 1857 and has resided in St. Cloud and Sauk Rapids ever since. In 1863 he and Miss Esther McAway were married. He served one term in the legislature and is the only surviving member of St. Cloud's first city council.
