Cuyuna, Minn., July 28.-The new Methodist church was dedicated here last evening by District Superintendent E. K. Kopper of Duluth, Rev. Mr. Richardson of Aitkin and Rev. Mr. Davis of Brainerd. The church has a debt of less than $100 and, like everything else in town, promises rapid growth. The Soo station is nearly completed, and regular service will be established soon.

CUYUNA, Minn., Nov. 8.-Rev. N. S. Lowrie of Lincoln, Neb., the father of Rev. W. J. Lowrie, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Brainerd, preached the dedicatory sermon at the services in the new Presbyterian church recently erected at Cuyuna. The church has a congregation of over 100 members. The building has larger parlors for Sunday school rooms, and the church is valued at $3,000.

Norwegian-Danish Congregation at Brainerd Making Occasion a Notable One.
BRAINERD, Minn., June 16.-The Norwegian-Danish Lutheran church is to be dedicated on Sunday, June 18, and the event will be notable in church circles. The Right Rev. K. Bjorge of Red Wing, the president of the Minnesota district of the Norwegian Lutheran synod, will deliver the dedicatory address. Among the pastors in attendance will be Rev. J. Rorvik, of Portland, N. D., who was one of the early pastors of the Brainerd church. Rev. J. D. Growe of Fergus Falls, is also coming. He served this congregation the greatest number of years of any pastor here. Rev. H. W. Sorenson of Shevlin, Minn., is a Danish minister of the synod, who will participate in the services. Rev. T. L. Rosholt of Renville, is also expected. He is the predecessor of the present pastor, Rev. C. Hougstad, pastor of the church, will deliver a short address in English in the forenoon. Visitors are expected from Portland, Fergus Falls, Long Lake, Deerwood and Pequot.
At the evening services Right Rev. Bjorge will deliver an address covering the history and development of the synod.. It is over 25 years ago that the Brainerd church was founded and during this period it has had six pastors. Rev. C. Hougstad has been the local pastor the last four and one-half years, coming from Lodi, Wis., and under his guidance there has been a steady growth in membership and enthusiasm and the congregation has exercised its part in the moral uplift of the city.
