NEVIS, MINN.
- The increased enrollment in the Home Economics classes has requested the purchase of new equipment.
- The band gave a concert at the Star Theater, Thursday evening.
- The Nevis school board met at the clerks office Monday.

NEVIS, MINN.
- Miss Hoftoe, teacher of the second grade, is confined to her home with pneumonia. Miss Vera Brown of Park Rapids is taking her place in the school.
- Mrs. Kelly, music teacher of the school, has organized a glee club and also a volunteer orchestra. She recently went to the Twin Cities to purchase instruments for the orchestra.

- The Tuesday Study club presented Miss Hoftoe with a beautiful bunch of sweet peas. Miss Hoftoe is recuperating after a severe attack of pneumonia.
- James Arrowood, in his talk to the upper grades in the high school on gardening, promised a valuable tree to the pupil writing the best composition on any agricultural subject.

NEVIS, Minn. The Nevis school will open Sept. 4. For the first time a four-year high school course is offered.
