Conover vs. Book & Moody

BEAUDETTE, MINN.-Papers were served this week in an action brought by J. E. Conover of Graceton, Minn., against W. H. Book and Charles A. Moody, publishers of the Wanoad [sic.] Plaindealer, for $5,000 damages for alleged libel.

Baudette, Minn., Nov. 6.-M. Brefivin, D. Olson, C. Olson and C. Turnbloom, Canadian homesteaders on Shabiscom bay of the Lake of the Woods, were arrested by the Canadian game warden for having moose meat in their possession before the season opened and besides paying a fine of $20 and costs, had their guns and four launches confiscated.
