County Information
Founded February 23, 1856
Seat: Litchfield
Meeker County was named after Judge Bradley B. Meeker of St. Anthony.

County government was set up on May 6, 1856 by the County Commissioners at Forest City.
The first industry in the County was a sawmill set up at Forest City in 1856.
The massacre at Acton on August 17, 1862 marked the opening of the Indian Wars
