CHRONOLOGY OF EVENTS. Austin and Vicinity, the Third Quarter of 1884 - July 10, Miss Trigg's elected assistant principal of the public schools of Austin. Miss Addie Teeter teacher of the second grade.

Dexter, Minn.-At a special school meeting here it was voted to bond the district for $2,000 to build a schoolhouse.

- - 1900 - - SUPERINTENDENT ELECTED. Fanny Gies

Chatfield Democrat: Miss Fanny Gies of Austin, has been elected Superintendent of schools in Mower county. Miss Gies has friends in Chatfield and vicinity who will be pleased to learn of her success.

- - 1906 - - GRADUATION

GRAND MEADOW, MINN.,-The Grand Meadow high school will close today, and the graduating exercises will be held in the opera house on June 4. The class of 1906 consists of the following: Maggie O'Morrow, Myrtle Seaborn, Julia Axness, R. T. Hamblelon and George F. Higbie. The address will be given by A. W. Wright.

The teachers engaged for next year are: Miss Addie Bloom, Miss Irene Warren, Miss Nellie Keenan, Miss McCue, Miss Frazier, Miss Gillis and M. F. Baker, superintendent.

Our village school teachers arrived here Saturday. Miss Wegner of Plato, Minn., and Miss Dumphy of Preston. School began Tuesday morning.
