A falling plank on the sand wheel house of the Calumet & Hecla copper mine, Lake Superior, killed John Brons and badly injured Augusta Christmann, who fell twenty feet.

Returned-Capt. P.B. Davy, who took an expedition through to Montana last spring, is again in this state, and proposes to pilot another expedition to the gold mines next year.

John C. McMahon

While taking a load of livestock to the South St. Paul market, John C. McMahon collided with the car driven by R.R. Moore of Maple Lake. McMahon's truck contained hogs which were scattered over the highway. He succeeded in releasing himself by breaking a window in the cab.
