COUNTRYSIDE AT WEDDING
Celebration Held at Home of Mr. and Mrs. James Stanchfield Wednesday
Fully one hundred and fifty persons were present at the silver wedding celebration of Mr. and Mrs. James Stanchfield near Douglas Wednesday. Teams were lined up along the road for fully half a mile each way from the residence and the sight was an interesting one. The size of the assemblage attested the friendships which are held for the couple so honored Wednesday.
The gathering comprised friends, neighbors and relatives. Enjoyable indeed were the hours of celebration. There was social converse, music and the dance. Messrs. H. B. Moore, J. F. Koelsch, L. D. Holmes and Henry Hetzel furnished most acceptable music. John Finnegan sang a good old Irish song and he was heavily applauded.
Mr. Stanchfield and Miss Carrie Koelsch were married 25 years ago and 22 of the intervening years, they have lived in the neighborhood which so signally honored them Wednesday.
Among the guests present were: Mr. and Mrs. Jake Hetzel, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wooley, Mr. and Mrs. George Koelsch of this city; Mrs. Ballard of Minneapolis who is visiting Mrs. Jake Hetzel; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hetzel and Miss Sophronia Koelsch and mother of Rochester; Mr. and Mrs. Will Stanchfield of Duluth; and Miss Nellie Finnegan of Minneapolis.
Presents of silver and a substantial purse were given the bride and groom of a quarter of a century.
