Though Not Much More Than a Year Old It Has Assumed Metropolitan Airs.
N. A. Williams, town and village treasurer of Bruno, Pine county, Minn., is in the city. Besides his official duties, Mr. Williams runs a general store at Bruno, being also interested in lumbering operations at that place.
While Bruno is not much more than a year old, it is rapidly developing and growing into a lively little village.
"We are building two churches, a schoolhouse and a village jail." Mr. Williams said yesterday, "The churches-Catholic and Presbyterian-will cost about $1,500 each, while the schoolhouse will be a handsome building, costing in the neighborhood of $3,500.
"We have two sawmills and room for another. Among the other industries is that of farming and cattle raising. We have fine farming and grazing lands around Bruno.
Mr. Williams brought with him from the streams of Brule a string of 25 fine trout, which he divided among Superior friends. He will return home today.
