FERTILE, MINN.-The commencement exercises of the Fertile high school were held at the operahouse last night, and standing room was at a premium. The class numbered eight, Miss Effie Hanson being salutatorian and Miss Mabel Kvenvolden valedictorian.

GULLY, MINN.
Gully’s public schools, under the principalship of Miss Gullinsrud, closed Friday, May 28. The state board examinations were held this week. The school program, including the eighth grade graduating exercises, was given in the village hall Tuesday night. There were eight graduates. They were Charles Bergh, Emma Moen, Alma Weckum, Lena Schmock, Agness Filar, Emma Shipsted, Ruth Olson and Marie Erickson.

Miss Margaret Powers of Grand Forks, N. D., was in the city Saturday on her way to Gully, Minn., where she will teach a term of school.
